About Shiloh

Shiloh GR is a prayer room in Grand Rapids devoted to exalting Jesus through worship and intercession. We gather every Monday night to encounter God together in a space modeled after the Tabernacle of David, where worship and prayer flow in unity. Each week features different worship and prayer leaders who bring their unique sound and heart, keeping every gathering fresh but focused on Jesus. Anyone is welcome to pray, sing, or simply sit in His presence. It is open prayer led by the Holy Spirit, not a performance. Our heart is to see a culture of prayer and worship established in our city and to make room for God to move powerfully in and through His people. Shiloh exists to enthrone Jesus in Grand Rapids and build a community centered on His presence.

Contend

To contend means to strive with God. To wrestle in prayer, not against Him, but until we are changed by Him. Like Jacob, we do not let go until His will prevails in us. Our days are short, and wisdom calls us to yield quickly and bow willingly to His Lordship.

“So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” – Psalm 90:12

“Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence.” – Isaiah 64:1

Shiloh GR's core values were formed through intercession and prayer. Jesus led us to four core values based on the acronym CORE

Core Values

04

Enthrone

Jesus is enthroned on the praises of His people. We know He is already seated on His throne in heaven, yet it is our calling to enthrone Him in our hearts to be in agreement with Him.

“But You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.” – Psalm 22:3

02

One Thing

We are called to pursue the One Thing above all else, intimacy and nearness to Jesus. Like Mary sitting at His feet, we choose the one thing required and the one thing that cannot be taken away. We lay aside distractions and worldly pursuits to seek His presence and to know Him deeply.

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.” – Psalm 27:4

03

Repentance

Repentance means to change the way we think and to turn toward God. It’s not only a shift in mindset but a physical returning to the Shepherd of our souls. We align our hearts and actions with His truth, hearing His voice and following His lead daily.

“For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” – 1 Peter 2:25

“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.” – John 10:14
